A Proven Reef System Offshore of Cocoa Beach

Since 2013, CFOA has supported the development of an ongoing artificial reef system east of Cocoa Beach using limestone and concrete pyramid reef modules.

  • Located 15 nautical miles east of Cocoa Beach
  • First reef modules deployed in August 2015
  • Funded through Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission grants
  • Supported by Brevard County and matching funds from CFOA, FSFA, and CCA
  • Sixth reef deployment completed September 30, 2021

How Your Donation Is Used

Your donation provides matching funds required for Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) reef grants, helping expand existing artificial reef sites.

Every year since 2015, CFOA has contributed the required $2,000 in matching funds to help grow the Cocoa Beach artificial reef system.
