Join CFSA as we welcome Todd Tharp, founder of Todd’s Rigs & Lures, for an evening focused on offshore trolling rigs, lure development, and proven saltwater fishing techniques.

Todd is a lifelong fisherman from the Central Florida / Orlando area. After attending Valdosta State University on an athletic scholarship, he went on to serve eight years in the United States Marine Corps Selected Reserve, including an overseas deployment to Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield / Storm.

After returning home, Todd worked as the sales manager of a local saltwater store before launching TRR - Todd’s Reliable Rigs in July 1995.

🧵 From Custom Rigs to Proven Offshore Lures

Todd’s company originally specialized in custom offshore trolling rigs. In 1996, he acquired a lure company that had been out of production for several years and began expanding the product line.

By 1997, Todd and his team had developed additional lure styles, leading to the company’s evolution into Todd’s Rigs & Lures.

🌎 Fished Around the World

Todd’s lures have been successfully fished throughout:

Florida, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, Hawaii, Mexico, Jamaica, Texas, Louisiana, South Carolina, North Carolina, and beyond.

These lures have helped anglers target and catch a wide variety of offshore species, including:

Dolphin, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, and White Marlin. 🐟

⚓ Expanding the Legacy

In 1999, Todd’s Rigs & Lures expanded again with the acquisition of the well-known Dick K. Lures brand, adding a wide variety of proven offshore lures to the lineup.

The company continues to produce custom rigs, offshore lures, and special requests for serious saltwater anglers.
