Born & Raised right here in Orlando, FL, Justin Ritchey has spent the better part of two decades chasing fish across the state’s Inshore & Offshore Waters. Shortly after earning his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Florida in Fisheries & Aquatic Science Management, he spent the first 7 years of his Professional Career serving as an Assistant Animal Curator for the Gaylord Palms Resort where he maintained over 500,000 gallons of live animal exhibits filled with Redfish, Tarpon, Snook and other Saltwater Gamefish. Beyond his work experience, Justin has proudly represented the USA in International Kayak Fishing Tournaments over the past decade. After winning the IFA Kayak Tournament Series in Jacksonville in 2014, he went on to finish in the Top 5 at the Hobie World Championship in the Netherlands. Most recently, he placed in the Top 10 at the 2024 Pan-Am Championship in Costa Rica as a member of the United States Angling Confederation (USAngling). Throughout his career, Justin has served as the Territory Sales Representative for several popular brands such as Star Rods, Owner Hooks, Nomad Design and now serves as the Territory Sales Manager for Florida for Momoi and Diamond Fishing Products. While being a jack of all trades, the one technique that Justin finds himself reaching to perfect is Jigging; in particular the art of Slow Pitch Jigging. “I love finding new ways to successfully target species, that’s what keeps fishing fun! I truly believe there is an Art and a Science to everything.
